His illustration seems more appropriate to me. It gives the impression of all the planets being 'bunched up' close together, which is exactly what I would want in order to get a sense of their actual relative sizes.

I dunno. Many of the changes are clearly aimed at improving the driving/owning experience. And at least one (the ambient lighting strip) makes it slower & dearer to manufacture.
