You're absolutely correct on that last point. The Ravens didn't need to make this kind of statement. I sure wish they hadn't, because there's no world they thought it would be well taken.
But "clearly the Ravens are a dirty org" still isn't my takeaway, and it's disappointing that it was Shiel's.

I'm not trying to make this a fight. Like I said, the Ravens are deserving of criticism. And I agree that the praise they showed Tucker was far more than what was appropriate.

I think the offensive line additions over the last two drafts would probably make me lean towards agreeing with you, but that's a bet on Fautanu more than anything.
And even if i do agree with you, the defense hasn't gotten any better whatsoever since then. It's the same guys but 2 years older

I get that the Ravens are deserving of criticism, and rightfully so. But it felt hollow for Shiel to sit on a soap box and crucify their morals, and it felt like they were purposefully ignoring that the Ravens worded that statement to prevent litigation from Tucker's side. Disappointing.

This might cause the heat death of the universe. A roster like this cannot possibly go 9-8, and yet Mike Tomlin cannot possibly do worse than that.

Overrated? If someone's saying he's the best head coach in the league, that's obviously too far. But he's still a damn good coach, even if he's struggled to get over that final hump.
