Movie buff, left-winger, anti-MAGA.
While I'm not going to agree with everything that Pope Leo says or does, but I think the speech he made about movie was absolutely profound. I never once thought of going to the movies as some kind of spiritual experience, but after reading that speech, I can't say that it's not on some level.

It's funny: I like Roth's movies, but I'm not a fan of him as a person.

Sweet! Listening to it now! The 90s in general was an extraordinary decade for the genre, but there was something about Warlock: The Armageddon that was just fucking epic.

Warlock: The Armageddon was the movie that got me into horror in the first place. That movie will ALWAYS have a special place in my heart, in spite of the fact that the first movie is better in every way. RIP Julian Sands.

taken off the way Van Damme did just a few years prior, but Paramount was in the middle of a regime change and Mr. Speakman and his movie got caught in the middle.

The Perfect Weapon is one of the best American-made martial arts movies ever. The best thing? There's no undercranking involved. He was moving that fast. The way he and Ed Parker choreographed the movie was and still is unlike anything I'd ever seen. But yeah, he should've

Don't forget that this could end Mike Johnson's continued shutdown of the House, which means that he would have to swear in the Arizona rep which would give us the 218 votes needed to get the Epstein files released. If WE'RE going to suffer, so will they.

but not just for us. For them, too.

This is going to suck for everyone. There is no way that the Dems were ever going to win on the ACA subsidies. The best we can do is to carve it into the Republicans' foreheads to show the people who is directly responsible for all of this. We're playing the long game here, and it'll be painful,
November 10, 2025 at 12:47 AM
the people are going to see that the Republicans refused to extend them, despite the Dems giving them the opportunity to do so. The GOP is going to pay for everything that they've done, because when the mid-terms come around, the GOP will lose EVERYTHING. Make no mistake about it:

with the Dems. What's going to happen is that the government opens, the House will come back into session and Johnson will swear in the Arizona rep, which will give us the votes we need to release the Epstein files. SNAP benefits will be fully funded, but when it comes time to apply for ACA,

I look at it this way: The Dems do this now, and when time comes for Republicans to vote on ACA and they refuse to, guess where the blame goes? Not the Democrats. The voters are going to be shown that it was the Republicans that have refused and continue to refuse to negotiate in good faith

Jaws 2 is the Jaws movie that I like the least. At least with Jaws: The Revenge, you have a batshit crazy concept with a roaring shark. Even Jaws 3 was wonderfully ridiculous with the 3D effects and the shark slowly approaching the control room. Jaws 2? It's just...meh.
