Had a lovely but brief chat afterwards about the village we both grew up in, and about our love of the area. It's nice to have a connection with others, which is essentially the story of this book, connecting ourselves to the beauty and horror of history.

It was. I'd recommend Kew village and the Gardens any day of the week. So much is in flower this time of year, plus they put on Shakespeare every year. It's become a tradition.
