Subscribing to #bookofthemonth is nice because you’ll always have a record of exactly how long you’ve procrastinated reading a book you bought 😂 #booksky

Finally finished Parable of the Sower after trying to start in Feb but getting bummed out 😂 bit slow to start but I really enjoyed the overall messaging, and was engrossed with Butler’s prose. I wish this series could have continued, I’d have loved to see Earthseed make it to space. 4⭐️ #booksky

Welp now I’m all caught up on SA Cosby, ready for his new release!

Cosby’s first novel, while still strong with characteristic flair and southern noir style, it wasn’t as strong as his more recent releases IMO. Still overall a gripping mystery with a main character to root for. 3.75 stars #booksky

One of my favorite ways to spend a morning is to listen to an audiobook and knit. I haven’t knit consistently for a while so even though it’s been a year, the new cat doesn’t understand yet that the yarn is not for him 😂 #booksky #knitting

Never posted my March wrap up in my reading journal. Still having so much fun with this! Used @thestorygraph.com for the data. #hobonichi #hobonichiweeks #readingjournal #storygraph #booksky

The physical book I’m reading right now is The Dead Cat Tail Assassins by P Djèlí Clark, and my overall impression is this feels like a DnD campaign in the best way lol #booksky 💙📚

In the most wholesome turn of events, the kitten (grey boy) and the old man are so cuddly and it’s my favorite thing 😭 he grooms my sweet 11 year old daily #cats

Finally making time for Just Mercy by Bryan Stevenson. I’ve had this on my radar since my undergrad so I’m happy to finally be getting into it. One chapter in and I already cried lol #booksky #nonfiction

Everyone on the Moon is Essential Personnel - 4.25 ⭐️

This was at times funny, other times sad, insanely creative and incredibly important. It’s a love letter to the queer experience and a giant middle finger to those who willfully misunderstand anyone who is different from them. Loved. #booksky

Made a custom chart on #storygraph for my 2025 goals. I’ve been loving tracking my reading using custom tags to get this level of data on my reading for the year! #booksky

3.75 ⭐️ - switched between audio and physical for this one.

This book is essentially the feeling you get looking at NASA images of earth from inside a spacecraft. Wistful, a feeling that there is something larger than us, that there are infinite possibilities #booksky

Last week in my #hobonichiweeks reading journal! Hobonichi users, do you have a preference between the weeks paper and the paper in the rest of their journals? I’m obsessed with how all my fountain inks look on the weeks paper. #booksky #journalsky #fountainpens

“I love you, and I have loved you, and I will love you”

This might not work for everyone but whew, it worked for me. I found this compelling in the way it communicated the depth of yearning between our two characters. What a beautiful, hopeful message about love and humanity and identity. #booksky

I’m not exaggerating when I say this is my favorite romantasy I’ve ever read. I picked it up again this weekend and flew through it it in just a few sittings, still so so good! And I unironically love the terrible cover 😂 this man is supposed to look like Geralt, so this is highly amusing #booksky

Realized I never did my February recap in my reading journal! Love taking the #storygraph data and sketching it in each month. At my heart I am a lover of data and things like this just bring me joy 🥰 #hobonichiweeks #booksky

Last week was a good week to be a millennial 🫡 between sunrise on the reaping and everything is tuberculosis I fully felt like I was back in 10th grade lol and neither disappointed! Still listening to Cemetery Boys, but started In Universes last night too. This is a sci fi/speculative fiction novel about a NASA scientist searching for meaning. Already so taken by the prose here, having a great time!! #transrightsreadathon @trreadathon.bsky.social #booksky
