In Jeremiah 51:27, Ashkenaz figures as one of three kingdoms in the far north, the others being Minni and Ararat (corresponding to Urartu), called on by God to resist Babylon. In Talmud (b. Yoma 10a; y. Megillah 71b) the name Gomer is rendered as Germania, which elsewhere in rabbinical literature was identified with Germanikia in northwestern Syria, but later became associated with Germania. In Genesis Rabbah, Rabbi Berechiah mentions Ashkenaz, Riphath, and Togarmah as German tribes or as German lands. Ashkenaz is linked to Scandza/Scanzia, viewed as the cradle of Germanic tribes, as early as a 6th-century gloss to the Historia Ecclesiastica of Eusebius. In the 10th-century History of Armenia of Yohannes Drasxanakertc'i Ashkenaz was associated with Armenia, as it was occasionally in Jewish usage, where its denotation extended at times to Adiabene, Khazaria, Crimea and areas to the east. His contemporary Saadia Gaon identified Ashkenaz with the Saquliba or Slavic territories, and such usage covered also the lands of tribes neighboring the Slavs, and Eastern and Central Europe. In modern times, Samuel Krauss identified the Biblical "Ashkenaz" with Khazaria. Sometime in the Early Medieval period, the Jews of central and eastern Europe came to be called by this term. Conforming to the custom of designating areas of Jewish settlement with biblical designating areas of Jewish settlement with biblical names, Spain was denominated Sefarad (Obadiah 20), France was called Tsarefat (1 Kings 17:9), and Bohemia was called the Land of Canaan.1401 By the start of the high medieval period, Hai Gaon refers to questions that had been addressed to him from Ashkenaz, by which he undoubtedly means Germany, and Talmudic commentators like Rashi began to use Ashkenaz/Eretz Ashkenaz to designate Germany, earlier known as Loter, 33,135 where, especially in the Rhineland communities of Speyer, Worms and Mainz, the most important Jewish communities arose. 41] Rashi uses leshon Ashkenaz (Ashkenazi language) to describe Yiddish, and Byzantium and Syrian Jewish letters referred to the Crusaders as Ashkenazim. Mr. Foxcroft, a Lake Havasu City resident, held a doctorate in physical therapy from Touro University Nevada and a bachelor's degree in physiological science from the University of Arizona, where he was also a mascot, according to the LinkedIn page.

This includes: • U.S. citizens (U.S. born, dual citizens, and naturalized) • Immigrants (legal permanent residents and undocumented immigrants) • Refugees and asylum seekers • People with disabilities Additionally, almost all men who are 18-25 year old U.S. citizens who live outside of the United States must also register for Selective Service. See Selective Service's full list of who is required and exempt from registering. Penalties for not registering: There are consequences if you fail to register with Selective Service. It is a federal felony, punishable by fines or a prison sentence. And you may not be eligible for federal jobs, citizenship, or state-funded student financial aid.

To clarify I said *can* prevent transmission, not *do* prevent transmission. Ideally everyone is getting boosters AND masking. I’m sick & tired (haha 😐) of people refusing to get vaccinated because “vaccines don’t do anything” as the mother of a kid who was born in 2020.

There’s an alt text button and you can change your settings so that a post won’t send without alt text. If you can take the time to make a post you can take the time to add a few extra words, especially since the app offers a place to put the words & automatic reminders
