Yea, that's the safe way to do it. I put my extra $ into a mid-risk mutual fund that pays more in interest than my mortgage. Once I have enough $ to pay off the house and the capital gains I'll owe from caching out ill pay it off.
I like to have access to the money in case I need it.

The Dems should haved walked and said "call when you have a compromise" and simply not engaged until then. They could have gone to food banks and handed out groceries, met with constituents and talked about healthcare....

Tax/financial advice? OK, ill bite. It depends on your financial situation, but you can deduct medical expenses and use it for retirement so if you can afford the deposits then why not?
