I love Mike, Kevin and Bill, and am so excited, but also REALLY hope we get to see more of Jonah and Emily soon. Especially Emily, who only got a handful of excellent episodes. I think the multiple rotating hosts idea of the last season was the best innovation out of the newer era

The premise seems to be at least that he IS from Eternia and remembers it and is trying to get back from the start, so a little less of an isekai narrative than expected. And his mom being from Earth was part of the original cartoon, so it’s not like the connection comes from nowhere

Conversely, going back to the original question asked, though I’ve softened a lot on my feelings toward the Prequels, I still cannot list a single thing I truly love about any of them, and have yet to bother actually rewatching them since the Sequel Trilogy began

I mean, I don’t love how TROS turned out, but I also don’t hate it and don’t think it “ruins” anything by existing, and in fact there are more things that I love in it than things I hate

My Star Wars hot take is that the people who most strongly defended The Last Jedi amidst the endless vitriol and bad faith “criticism” from the most toxic side of fandom, come dangerously close to spouting the same kind of vitriol at TROS whenever it’s mentioned, and it kinda bothers me

I continue to think the Sequel Trilogy is under appreciated. Yes it’s inconsistent and poorly thought out, but it’s still ultimately two great movies and one that’s unfairly overhated for what is ultimately just a messy but serviceable film.

I would really love to see just one reporter start casually asking him the questions from that cognitive test and see if he even notices what the questions are while failing to answer them correctly

And here’s hoping Toyhax does a sticker set that gives him the white stripes, because I really just want an updated Classics Bee

I might actually prefer this design to the previous Studio Series Bee for my G1 shelf.

I have been getting very tired of how after every single ORGANIZED protest or event or campaign efforts I see so many people on the left saying “this wasn’t good enough, you all need to organize”

Considering Skeletor literally has no face and will probably be a mostly if not entirely CG character anyway, there’s really no reason why they can’t replace him

I’ll go one step further and say it’s my favorite sci-fi film, full stop. I adore this movie

Honestly I think it just comes down to their possessive/obsessive/resentment view of children. They want there to be more children, but hate and resent any notion of them as human beings that require care and empathy. Autistic or trans children are “broken” things and they hate them for “breaking”

Trying to pick a favorite SF film of the 21st century is a really tough question since the genre is so broad and there are so many incredible films, two of which are by Rian Johnson. The Last Jedi might actually be my favorite, but there are also films like Everything Everywhere All at Once

Especially considering Stranger Things as the benchmark example for this type of project. By the time this series gets to just the third book, thirteen-year-old Harry Potter is gonna have a beard and a mortgage

I only recently got really deep into the main Universal Century stuff and it was entirely because of Unicorn. And now I’m all in for whatever comes next. Gundam feels stronger now than ever
