Consumers Change Communties
This is about incentivized altruism. I want people to feel good about the concerts they support and the people they serve through their consumerism. Creatives change communities, but so do consumers. We want to support local farmers and artists from the DMV for the DMV

a hydroponic farm that employs adults with special needs to help us deliver the food, and we are buying as much of their fresh kale locally from them. Their day program will help us deliver the food to a foodbank in Deanwood, ward 7.

This isn’t tax deductible since you’re receiving a service, but since it’s just me at Meek Earth Studio, I want to assure you that this is a contract. You pay for a show and food, and we deliver. I have partnered with Zeponic Farms in Lorton, VA, www.zeponicfarms.org,

This concert is designed to fund food to feed as many families as possible multiple meals with your $35 ticket, and 100% of the ticket goes to the families. Meek Earth Studio commits itself to 100% transparencyand will publish the receipts in an easy to read report.

Around Christmas time in 2024, @theatlantic.com reported that residents from Deanwood travel outside of the neighborhood to get food from a grocery store. The Atlantic writes, and I quote,

Creatives Change Communities. The amazing and caring musicians, Grace J. Reid [https://www.musicjoystudio.com/] and Suna [https://www.instagram.com/fromsuna/], will perform to feed families in a food desert in our nation’s capital, Washington D.C.

I know people who hate who they are personally, and I know people who don’t even know they don’t know who they are. That’s where Meek Earth Studio comes in.

These questions attempt to penetrate the façade we Americans wear every single day. Who are we really when we wake up in the morning? Who are we when we walk past the homeless person on the side of the road?

Is pro-life really pro-life if it doesn’t care for the living regardless of race, gender, and color? Is our country really a Christian country if most of the country doesn’t read the bible let alone social media professing Christians?

Did we celebrate presents, Jesus as savior, or did we celebrate the the poor and the least of these? Did we remember the thousands of children born and murdered by Herod, or did we ignore the children already alive today
