Celebrate the awakening. Find joy in each other as we fight like hell not to return to Fascism Lite (now fat-free*!) but to build something new where all people's needs are met with love and dignity.

Find joy in the knowing, the no longer being unaware of what we've done around the world with our tax dollars and weapons. Revel in the mystery, the not-knowing, too-- the discovery of what we are capable of creating together, the future we make with deliberate action and intention every day. (10)

Grieve the loss of your expected outcomes, the things you took for granted and the lies that your life was built on. You didn't choose this indoctrination, but you can choose to learn and grow and create now that you know about it. (9)

Grieve and mourn the reality that you thought we had, the things we lost to white supremacy, the impact our lives and our for-profit prison system and legalized slavery and resource stealing and occupation have had on our brothers and sisters and neighbors both at home and abroad. (8)

Plenty of humans around the world live sustainably and take care of each other and we can do that, too. How dare anyone condemn them, or the folks kidnapped and sold here, or the people living here long before white supremacy for what this empire has done. (7)

The odds are that there's already something near you being led by marginalized people that you can tap into to get involved. And for goodness sake, don't you dare say that humans deserve this, that humans are a "cancer" that should be wiped out. (6)

Our ancestors have survived worse. Honor the sacrifices made and the incredible perseverance of people still here and the work that they've been doing this whole time that white people are now being called to do. (5)

And for heaven's sake stop saying that "we're cooked" or "democracy is dead" after Black folks and disabled folks and indigenous folks and queer folks and poor folks and every other marginalized community has had to survive this far. Give humans a little more credit. (4)

It can't be denied anymore. So we need to have everybody stop blaming it on one celebrity president or even one political party, acknowledge that this goes to the root, and work together to form the communities of equity, accessibility, and care that we want. (3)
