Also history has showed us the consequences of testing potential medicines on animals - TGN1412 was administered to monkeys at a dose 500 times higher than humans but almost killed 6 healthy human trial volunteers -> we cannot risk human health!

We need to learn from global events - transmission of diseases from animals to humans has happened and had disastrous effects on the planet #covid . The longer these cruel practices are upheld, the more serious the risk to human health becomes!

Macaques may be up to 90-93% similar to us humans but that remaining 7-10% encodes fundamental biological mechanisms which makes us truly unique which cannot be replicated in monkeys!

Monkey farms are growing in numbers and being transported across the world - mainly to the UK and US. The recent arrival of macaque monkeys to the UK in devastating conditions highlights the brutality that our closest living relatives suffer from!
