I use this in a dimir party deck! It's super good for vigilance but it's also good for sometimes tapping down someone's board because you happen to have a creature that shares with an opponent's board.

I feel if they do change the rule they also need to change it for cards with a different colored back. When I was the judge for my LGS way more people were confused about that than hybrid mana. These kept popping up in mono white commander decks.
