A soldier in world war 2 loses all his brothers, resulting in a squad being sent out to bring him home. Nearly the entire squad dies over the course the film, as well as the squad of the titular private Ryan. So, this would mean 2026 would be a year of everyone I know dying horribly

I'm really, really hoping this isn't how my 2026 goes, frankly...

It's tiring, so very, very tiring. I just wanna have fun with the dumb electronic entertainment thingies, maybe enjoy something more enriching when a game successfully achieves games as art! All this crap just saps away at the good times.
