Notre Dame is complete and it is beautiful! 😍
Bonus pics to show off how magnificent this set is. So intricate. So detailed.

Annoyingly many typos in this thread but I blame it on the sore fingers and thumbs from trying to stick together all the tiny Lego pieces

Okay I’ve left it on the coffee table this afternoon post build and every time I’ve walked past it I have to admit that those wand pillars look really good. Worth the faff and fiddlyness
Bag 24. Another level of the towers. Still no bells but a whole load of columns.

Less fun bag this one. Those lovely columns were made using 40 tiny wands which had to be set at different angles.

So I am finally starting to building this beauty 😍
Bought it on sale as a treat for submitting the last book manuscript to the publisher. That was so long ago the book is already out 😅😂
Thought I’d bring you all along for the journey. 34 bags with 4383 pieces

Thanks for the kind words Richard!
Received and read the new book by @medievalabby.bsky.social
In just over 100 pages, this provides a great introduction to a complicated set of records, with case studies showing how they can be used (for example) to illustrate royal gift-giving and household management.

According to my publication metrics people like to use my stuff to update Wikipedia pages of medieval women … if anyone is updating the Margaret of France page, chapter 3 might be of interest 😅
Yay! My copies have finally arrived 😁 so happy to see it in print
Contains introductory chapters on the records as well as a chapter on Margaret of France’s household diet account from 1307 and (of course!) another chapter on (my favourite document of all time) Eleanor of Provence’s ring account

Phew! Glad I’ve booked my ticket already for later this week. Was contemplating popping in this afternoon for an advanced sneak peek once I’m finished with my manuscripts 😕
The exhibition bouncers are doing the goddesses' work, I swear. It's now sold out till it ends and people (me incl) are thirsty for the goods

The cormorants(?!) weren’t cooperating today. 8 (+1 gull) scattered across the jetty with 2 others on the water’s edge offscreen
