I don’t have words for Schumer’s betrayal. Not ones I can type or say out loud anyway. But I feel compelled to remind Dem politicians that if you betray your constituents, and they can’t recall you, and you don’t resign…you leave them with exactly one very desperate choice.

Amtrak fares are already climbing fast after news of flight cancellations. If you’re going to try and use Amtrak get on there now & get your tickets. This is a one way price from DC Union to NYC Penn Station for tomorrow. Usually the Acela are $150-200 & non-Acela around $30-50 for coach.

Another reason to hate the Sackler family is when I started in EMS we still carried Penthrox (methoxyflurane) aka The Green Whistle. From jellyfish stings to compound fractures a patient could self administer and remain awake without pain. Guess what got banned to make room for oxy & other opioids?

One thing I’ll advocate for that is far outside my wheelhouse are increasing the number of hostels in the US.
We’re a huge country that ppl can barely afford to live in let alone travel.
I still use hostels overseas regularly. They are an affordable option for so many of us.

My oldest kiddo is officially an adult 😭💜 Dad says he is 17 forever and I’m not allowed to argue lol.
But in all seriousness I’m immensely proud of him- he’s funny, bitingly almost devastatingly quick witted, while also being a genuinely kind man.
I’m very grateful I got to be his mom 💜
