Jamiroquai in Germany 20 years ago. Oddly, we were the only ones grooving and dancing and most others around us were just standing and watching

And Pearl Jam at Fenway

Also really enjoyed the Decemberists and Andrew Bird

My sense is a minimum of 14 hours, but sounds like fun!

It’s really sad that their devotion to a petulant child gets in the way of them outwardly celebrating anything for the rest of the year. Any special day or seasonal lawn decorations take a backseat to a dozen+ maga signs. They don’t want the rest of us thinking they finally came to their senses lol

Didn’t know you could do that! Made a playlist with my friends (1,000+ songs) and one friend learned the hard way you need to pick a first song to set the shuffle mood. Otherwise you end up with the wildcard song (like the theme song to Tetris)

I’ve never met anyone who followed the anniversary release dates for different Star Wars films, being able to name them like Harry and Marv watching for the lights to come on in the houses with automatic timers

And he doubled down when given a second chance by reporters to be presidential, or shit, I dunno, a human with empathy

This is why I love Rogue One and Andor. They answer the question of why does Luke hate the empire? What did they do to earn his general hate as a farmhand?

I do similar alterations to my heb pepperoni pizzas. Why not, you know?

I got bored with the Madalorian, but Rogue One and Andor are superb. In A New Hope, when Luke says, “I hate the empire just like anyone,” it’s kind of an empty line. Like, *why* does everyone hate the empire? Rogue One and Andor tell that story and give more depth to the og trilogy

You might like The Years of Rice and Salt by Kim Stanley Robinson. It’s an alternate history where the black death takes out all of Europe instead of a third of it. Asia and Americas dominate instead and reincarnation is used to keep the same character mentalities but in new situations/families

Ah, the third-quarter meltdown is alive and well

Tuck Everlasting taught me how fleeting life is, Johnny Tremain taught me how history is lived and that we can all make history, and Les Misérables taught me about love and passion

I’m used to writing in past tense but am going with present tense in my current project. It’s wild what needs to be considered to make the story be its best self

So glad I quit three years ago. Seeing less people overall smoking, even on bar patios and the like. It’s encouraging to see
