More than three years ago, in the pandemic, I agreed to serve as the Commission on the Status of Women (AEJMC) Secretary, then vice chair and chair/AEJMC Board Representative from 2022-2023. I have grown so much in my understanding of what it means to be a woman in academia and a leader.
