I suspect what Donaldson's Swampman is really saying is: If this impossible thing happened its result wouldn't be coherent (implied, because its impossible)...or at least some version of that. But, its meant to frustrate - and does frustrate - a certain world view. It's meant as a rock in the shoe.

painfully, one of the outcomes of rampant philosophical blogging & opinion taking is that others have had to retreat into identity cul-de-sacs such as "professional philosopher". I'm not sure Philosophy has been well served by either end of this spectrum. Where does thinking, proper, even occur now?

Everything from questions of "real" identity, to the emasculated lead, reluctant detective, the android-like perfect fantasy woman, to the heavy use of gels in the photography. This is something to really think about.
