audience in context: praise, memorial, hisses & shouts. At Edges of Ailey, dance is ethereal. Dance saturates the horizon.

During Revelations, we felt the dance as #AlvinAiley intended: “sometimes sorrowful, sometimes jubilant, but always hopeful”

What do we need of #socialmedia that could serve us as individuals, communities, and movements in times of serious trouble? If its not the ideal space to bunker down—cavernous, cold, isolated, opulent—to prepare for The End, where is? #daywithoutart #HIV/AIDS

Involved with video since the early 1970s, Susan Mogul is a pioneer of the medium. Initially producing an influential series of humorous and staunchly feminist performance videos, her practice has expanded to more experimental forms of narrative and documentary.

Frame 9: "Pro-Palestine Protests on University Campuses (Notes from Spring, 2024)" is now live on Cultural Critique's website. Long in the works, it seemed it might never come out at all. It reads differently and importantly 6 months late(r).
