Infographic of ADA standards of Care for A1c testing. 1 in 10 U.S. adults have diabetes. Every 1% decrease in A1c lowers risk of complications. Only 1 in 4 achieve recommended goals. Glucose monitoring should be done by BGM or CGM with regular A1c testing. POC A1c improves access to testing, increases testing frequency, aids awareness, facilitates engagement and early diagnosis.
