In the old Arabic book ‘Aqd al-Juman, it is reported that a comet appeared in 684 AH. The astronomer Imad al-Din said it had the same appearance as a comet seen at the birth of Caliph al-Mustansir around ~420 AH / 1030/1031 CE,he described it as having three great tails, the third being the shortest.

Interestingly, the new object in PCCP "P22ex9m" is expected to pass between Earth and the Sun in late April 2026. There is a chance it may appear to transit the Sun, similar to what the Great Comet of 1819 did, BUT that is not confirmed until its orbit is better determined.

It was mentioned in the book Tarikh ‘Aja’ib al-Athar fi al-Tarajim wa al-Akhbar by Al-Jabarti:
"In this month, a star with a tail appeared in the northern direction." (Referring to the month of Sha'ban in the year 1226 AH).
