Happy Black History Month. So many to celebrate. I think today of Harriet Tubman, Zora Neale Hurston, Frederick Douglas, Sojourner Truth, Booker Washington. On a local level I celebrate Pam Redd who has written and produced a Juneteenth play We must lift up these people and many more.

This is a Clementine the ginger. He is also maybe a year. This morning he walked right into my house when I opened the slider, but he really wanted to go back outside.

This is Sophie. She is about ten. Her owner died and she was put in a parking lot! She is a real queen and is not happy to have Maisie around. But she seems to be getting used to the idea.

This is Maisie. She is a “found” cat as in someone lost her. She was not chipped. No one responded to community posts. I felt as though I had won the lottery and she seems very grateful to have a home again.
