i'm saying this because a character i'm drawing right now was described as having almond shaped eyes and i'm taking it to mean i get creative freedom in this department, because it means nothing to me otherwise

some use it as a way to describe east asian eyes (particularly monolids) but even that's wrong since people aren't all walking around with the same eye shape

the word doesn't tell you any about the angle of the eye (upturned/downturned/neutral) or the eyelid, and you could honestly use the phrase to describe the general shape of any eye

at least i'm finally done with the second picture though
