If it helps at all, I've seen artists on other sites inoculate their art against "consent" rules by putting a little "I consent!" speech bubble watermark somewhere in the image, ideally on its own layer so it can easily be stripped off.

I'm not sure I'd call it racism so much as D&D is just copying Tolkien's homework like many other fantasy writers do, but they rarely have Tolkien's nuance so you get something that looks like LotR but with extra unfortunate implications. It's carelessness and bad writing rather than malice.

Most anime elf tropes trace their lineage back to Record of Lodoss War (which was based on the author's D&D campaign, so no but also yes!). It's just Deedlit and Pirotess all the way down.
