Transfemme Polyam Dork, mid-20s, She/They
Current obsessions include; Magic the Gathering, Indie TTRPGs, Monster Hunter, Spiders, "A Psalm for the Wild-Built", Guild Wars 2, OSRS
All of this comes together with different forms of counter play, different axis to build advantage in and grind your opponent down with; and all of them can be tempered to be very competitive decks

Finally, the Big Mana deck of the bunch, Biomechan Engineer, who says at the end of the turn cycle they'll casually draw 2-6 more cards, filling up on rattlesnake effects and counterspells to make hitting them always seem like a bad move

Sami can be aggressive, but they just want bodies on the board getting tapped, and preferably staying alive- you can cast convoke spells, crew a vehicle and jam with it, activate sunshot militia, whatever you do your board gets a little bigger for next time

While Seedship Broodtender is doing something a little different - setting up undergrowth, gathering tons of bodies in the yard to have your choice of big guy like Moldgraf Millipede or just take someone off the map with Lotleth Giant

That isn't changing with Mm'menon, running izzet artifacts to go for commander damage in the air while using the etbs or activated abilities of your artifacts to make a clear attack and set up your hand to protect them and do it again next turn

Syr Vondam I've seen less love for, but Battlecry that also gives deathtouch with a squad of little guys, potentially ones that already replaced themselves, is gonna make heads roll - Something I'm noticing about all of this is how aggressive all of these are so far, how they drive you to FIGHT

People have talked about this Haliya in the PDH scene so much - She gives counters, she draws you cards when your counters hit face, the deck is easy, you go big and wide and something will get in there

It's SO easy to get tannuk to trigger twice in a turn at least, between all the evolving wilds and rampant growths and harrows you can run, you can probably do it on a few of your opponents turns too

Incerceptor Mechan inspires me to make a grindy aggressive deck that wants to attack every turn whether its creatures will survive, backed up by grave flicker and combat tricks

Alpharael leading a selection of madness and flashback spells, unearth creatures, synergistic artifacts, and ways to get those artifacts back, letting the cards you can use never just be whats in hand

Station Monitor could be a tempo deck trying to doublespell often and count all your drones and baubles for things like all that glitters to surprise the board by taking out two players at once

It only includes mtgo because the format has its competitive roots in the mtgo client actually - paper pauper wasn't really a thing before it became a mtgo format, and legality is meant to match what that platform showed

There's like 10+ swaps I'd need to make to optimize it for charforger, because I leveraged having the combo win in the command zone - and as much as I love phyrexians, my partner told me I should cosplay judith and now I gotta keep her as the lead AT LEAST until that happens

I've got a rakdos Fake Your Own Death combo deck that would be so much better if the commander was charforger, but I have it as Judith because I wanna play it at unsuspecting edh tables

Troika is a really cool game with a lot going on worth thinking about - I've been on a Wanderhome kick recently, which is much more cozy
