Ooooo I'd love to pick your brain on it some day. I typically use two: Heil PR40 behind and some sort of LDC in front. Never get quite the sound I want.

You have two choices: Adjust the mix or adjust your expectations 😁
There's a lot of tools and tricks we can do these days, but typically I'd have a chat to see what can be fixed. Often it's due to it being mixed in a bad environment so they may not realise what is sounding rough.
