Just finished a Lancer game that ran 4 and a half years do not AMA.
The thing about being almost done running a Lancer game of four-ish years from LL0-7 and 6-12+ is that I have allowed myself to steep in the mecha genres and let those brainworms fester.
Now I'm looking at things like Spire and Heart, I've gotta start reading old pulp noir and sword&sorcery more.

Putting some pressure on the backlog for the end of year with another peebs kit, the HG AoZ Re-Boot Reben Wolf! AoZ kits come together so interestingly, and this one has a fun gimmick where the ankles are geared to flex the vernier nozzles and feet together. Cool guy.

So I've been sorta running two simultaneous games of Lancer weekly for like. Four years? Fucked up to think that I'm gonna finish that in like 4 weeks and then have two extra nights of the week for other stuff for a while.

Woundwort partially complete! Now I'll have a second bunny to go with the psycho blade, and it'll help motivate me to paint the fingers on both. AoZ kits come together so nicely, they're so shaped.

Baffling choice for them to separate the inner frame and led from the armor kits and put them in a blind box setup for the ms mechanical bust kits. Luckily I got the exact combo I wanted (clear armor kit, inner frame with LED) in the two boxes I picked up. It's a cute desk toy though!

I always set a percent limit on how barbie I can be in a day to still maintain my butch cred but I did spend two hours changing outfits and taking selfies so I think I went a little over my 28% bimbo budget.

More backlog progress today. I do love the shape of Gelgoog, and I have a fondness for Matsunaga's blue stripe livery, so this Gelgoog Jäger is going to look pretty next to his zaku. For a 25 year old base kit, it wasn't a bad build, though the poseability is very low.

It's my favorite boy this year, HG Gqux Red Gundam! Honestly the design really grew on me once I saw it in motion, and while the show fell a bit flat this boy still has my heart. Yamashita's alt-UC designs are almost grotesquely beautiful adaptations to Okawara's originals and they're so charming.

More backlog progress, this time the MG Guntank! This kit was a delight to build, with all sorts of gimmicks that don't show on the fully armored model and a lot of others that are mechanically neat but cannot be practically displayed. 10/10 yippee model kit

When I was younger I dated a hypno domme who was really into mecha stories and now being into big sexy robots has gotten me back in the orbit of hypno dommes and I think that's wonderful.

The decal backlog gets a little shorter! Finished rewatching G Gundam while putting the last decals on this one. I really enjoy the way some of the stickers accentuate the shapes and existing panel lines, but applying over 100 different shaped stickers (often in duplicates) is a pain in my ass.

What's better than this, finally clearing the decals on RG God Gundam while rewatching the tournament arc of G Gundam. I love building RG kits but my decals backlog is a week long because of them lol.

Taking an aggressive approach to the backlog. It's been a while since I did a WfM kit, and I forgot how nicely and simplu everything comes together.
Desultor is everything Jeturk has moved on from- it's charmingly generic, bulky without being overly so, and it looks outdated in a good way.
