Trying to build upon my original setting to the point that I can publish a digital piece covering the story and designs involved, developing it iteratively.
While it certainly needs some further work to be a finalised model, especially in regards to ensuring the joints give a better pose, I'm quite pleased with this test iteration. Especially since it balances even without a base.

Some sculpts are at a lower viewport level, but quite pleased with how the wings are going, clasping back across the armour. It will get its legs back soon too

Reminds me, I just saw this OVA today that had some incredible biomecha designs I felt you'd appreciate. Shame the actual OVA itself is pretty flat but still, some real good stuff in terms of design and weird transformation stuff.

Had a first try at organic modelling, feel like I'm getting something a bit wrong that's making it a little blurry feeling, but overall not too bad. Also not super pleased with the horns, but that's something to learn from I suppose.

Significantly beefed up the design for next printings, a large scale increase and other supporting elements, without sacrificing it's place as a cobbled together unit. #mecha #OC

Managed to test print the walker over here in Belgium this time, so I could take a closer look myself. Makes it clearer that there is more to change beyond tolerancing, mainly in terms of beefing it up to be sturdier. Didn't clean it up so much since I knew it needed further work, but a good start.

Finished up the revolver cannon for the larger unit, pretty pleased with how it came out from reference. The rest of the unit has a long way to go but it's got most of its general shapes. #oc #mecha

With how lethal the weather leaves movement between city structures, transport is vital. It is, however, also very intentionally hard to come by. Retooled work vehicles are often the only choice. Seen here is the "walking coffin", armoured only with scraps and belief. It is all its owner will have.
