Starting the new year with making the first post here.

I'm launching a fun creative activity in the form of collective anthology, which would include short stories and drawings on a set theme. Here are the details:

Was meeting relatives from my father's side.

I'm 28, and I had this weird moment of realization that I can click both with generations of teens and adults at the age of 40+. Am I turning into a "cool" dad trope or something?

That feeling when you miss the Big Three Dragons but still end up with Yakuman.

Really like this hand, there is a certain beauty in it. Although the kan ruins the symmetry :(

Man, I really gotta stop watching scary vids before going to sleep.

What in the actual Ron is going on with this game, ahahahah. First time happening to me.

You know, I'm gonna use Mahjong as the official reason for my atheism.

The game gets you to 3 star rank and then repeatedly flushes you down to 2 star rank.

You get several good hands, but the game thinks otherwise and lets the other win.

No matter how much I plead, I get Ronned and Tsumoed...

Trying to learn the ancient craft of pixel arting.

I started the practice by drawing Ichihime from Mahjong Soul. The amount of details her bond costume has is something for sure.

The work I'm very passionate about is the mahjong-themed novel. It'd revolve around 4 online players from different cities, following their separate lives as well as mahjong sessions.

I plan to make the storylines each in their own genres, which would apply to mahjong segments as well.

Story idea:

Hard-core detective fan is invited to a detective-themed quest. Each case: 1) revolves around a well-known detective trope; 2) is based on an episode from the fan's life, unbeknownst to the latter; 3) makes it clearer there's something wrong with the quest.

The tag doesn't lie. Mahjong is the scariest game I've ever played. Each session makes me lose my sleep.

Story idea:

A Year Recap but told through the chronologically set fictional songs the character listened to, mirroring the events of their yearly life.

In other words, a metaphorical story in "poems."

Got a random YT recommendation of a book blogger suggesting the books one should definitely read, and... can't help but feel that reading 1Q84 by Haruki Murakami left me with some sort of PTSD. For whenever I see the book being mentioned, I get instantly triggered.

Have a simple short story idea inspired by SCP-2030. The topic--obsession.

I won't probably work too hard on it. It's just a meme type of work, after all. You know, for laughs.

Played a demo of a game called Mindwave.

Love it so far. It's a Warioware type of game with each stage of microwaves being based on the opponents' minds. While in between the sessions, you can chat with other characters.

It definitely looks like a project that'll hit big once out. Looking forward.

Nabokov's "Despair" has all the chances to take the place among my favorites of his.

The style of narration, the narrator himself, his arrogance, enormous self-confidence, and a grain of humor is entertaining and fun to read through.

Here, I may find the click I didn't see in "Lolita."

Currently reading "Resurrection" by L. Tolstoy.

I have a complicated relationship with his works, not being a huge fan of "Anna Karenina" and "War and Peace."

But, man, Resurrection seems like a work I'd end up genuinely loving. Hyped to see whether it'd be so.
