Republicans in Congress heaped trillion dollar tax giveaways on the nation's wealthiest families and corporations. Now they're forcing massive health care cost hikes for over 20 million people by refusing to extend Premium Tax Credit enhancements. Mainers deserve better from our lawmakers.

We asked Mainers at the Oxford Plains Speedway what they thought about cutting taxes for billionaires. Here’s what they told us. #mepolitics #BigBeautifulBill #TaxTheRich

Enhanced Premium Tax Credits protect 20M+ people from medical bills that drain savings & wreck credit. Congress had the chance to act—instead, they chose cuts.

Tell Maine's Congressional Delegation to make these tax credits permanent & repeal health care cuts: commcat.io/467vrRn

The White House slashes protections. Corporations hike prices. Families foot the bill. Unions keep raising wages, winning benefits, and fighting for dignity on the job.

This #LaborDay, stand with the folks who actually keep the economy running.

There's plenty Mainers disagree on. Billionaires are terrified we'll figure out what we have in common. #mepolitics #taxfairness #bigbeautifulbill #biguglybill

We’re told America is more divided than ever. But it turns out there’s one BIG thing we can all agree on: the ultra-wealthy have stacked the deck against us, and it’s about time our lawmakers did something about that. #mepolitics #taxfairness #bigbeautifulbill #biguglybill

No doubt about how big and ugly this bill really is.

Today was a historic day for farmworker rights in Maine.

It's a rollercoaster ride under the dome right now...today we had a truly historic outcome on the farmworker minimum wage bill and a mixed bag on the corporate income tax bill. Last night we celebrated paid leave remaining safe and unharmed in its gestational state!

URGENT: Legislators are meeting NOW on the budget—call your state reps TODAY and demand the wealthiest pay their fair share. Insist on a millionaire tax & higher corporate rates. Go to mainersfortaxfairness.org/take-action for reps’ info & call scripts. #TaxTheRich #TaxFairness #mepolitics

Lots of good action to report this week!

How will Mainers feel tax changes in the GOP budget? The top 1% in ME—those making over $817K—will receive an almost $37K tax cut. The bottom 40%—those with average income of $30K—will get a $360 tax cut. But don't get too excited about that $360, because it disappears when you factor in tariffs.

If passed and funded, LD 1955 will shore up child care wage supplements to ensure educators don't see pay cuts, provide funding to eliminate the existing waitlist for the state subsidy for working families, and add an additional $1 million annually to improve access to the subsidy. #mepolitics

A big step towards a win for Maine farmers. Adding a 1.07% tax on corp income over $3.5M, we'll put that money to work where it counts: our farms, our fields, and our future. Big corporations can afford to chip in. Maine agriculture can't afford to be left behind. #mepolitics #NoFarmsNoFood
