One last thing about Orry. Around the 1950s Mister Giesel had aproached the railways of sodor with his experimental ejector. Few engines were trialed but only a few had shown success. One of these being Orry. He has been fitted with permanetly ever since! Doing maintenance around the IOS.

After the end of the war. NWR railway had offered to fully overhaul Orry as a thank you for his aid. He had been repainted back to his red livery now with white stripes and hazard stripes on a front for safety. He had also been given his own nameplate. He wears this livery till this day.

When the war broke out, the company had addapted cost saving to cut cost ofc. There for throughout the wartime orry had been repainted to a black livery. He retained the same coat of paint from 38-47 as he had been loaned to NWR for aid in maintenance and shunting with no time for checkup.

An Andrew Barcley 0-4-0st who had been waiting for a while now to be clamined by a new owner. He arrived with certains tweaks. Most imporantly a bunker for longer runs on the branch. The locomotive was named Orry and painted in bright red livery. He retained this look until 1938.

The War department approved and so after the end of construction of NWR the link has been established with a locomotive of their own 2nd hand. Sadly this locomotive hadnt last long and in 1931 the locomotive had failed. Later the next year, they had purched a brand new locomotive!

During the year 1915 The Cronk construction company (Later the company that jack and the pack work at) got approached by the War department to aid the construction of the NWR. The company agreed under the condition that a rail link would be established to they’re base of operation at cronk.
