Please do a review of these if you can as I haven’t tried either of these

Accessing big files by WiFi could be slow. I built myself a very fast 1Tb drive out of a NVME drive in a Ugreen holder - might work better for you - then dump files when finished to long term storage. Won’t fill your Mac with stuff. Still suggest a NAS for long term storage for proper backup

If you are just archiving and accessing irregularly then bare drives and a “toaster” to access them may be good enough

Any brand of NAS will mean you will be on an upgrade cycle of about 7-8 years in my experience. It slows down access so much it forces an upgrade. I think if you actively use your data ( in my case photo viewing and archived video/TV) then I think that’s fine.

youtu.be/ShZHCS2ynp4 I always thought the nascompares channel was a good source of info. I’m a Synology user at the moment and very satisfied for now but if I had to replace it now I would certainly look at Ugreen more closely

Glad you liked it. Cupra looks interesting for sure but what if you wait and then don’t like it? The R 5 will be discounted by then and a better buy? I think I would be tempted by a 2 year lease and then you will have more options. The current rate of development in electric cars is high…

Let me / community know what you think - my partner is shorter so may have a different experience

Looks good but I didn’t like it. Firstly the pedal positions (brake too high), then the view out was too narrow, the quality of materials slightly cheap and finally the room in the back was very small. I have 2 EVs and had high hopes of the 5 to replace our Mini but we will look elsewhere.
