Qasim has repeatedly stated that Jews and Zionists are not the same thing.

You’re seriously wondering why Qasim—a Muslim—is focusing on AIPAC, which has been bribing officials in order to freely genocide Palestinian Muslims?

Newsom is just as anti-trans as you and Republicans are.

Trans women who are put in women’s prisons don’t have a higher chance of being rapists, yet when put in men’s prisons are almost guaranteed to be raped themselves, but I’m guessing you don’t care about the latter.

I’m pretty sure that even if Newsom runs for president and wins, he would do basically nothing to halt ICE, much less defund it as it deserves.

I doubt it. If Biden didn’t try using that power when he had several months, I highly doubt that the next inevitably “moderate” Democrat candidate will.

The DNC has always preferred handing the country over to authoritarianism than letting progressivism—the stance that is polar opposite to and would fare best against the GOP—take a foothold.

The entire Nevada chapter quit after a progressive Dem won the election there. archive.ph/AhTAZ

Dems have already been mimicking the GOP in a lot of ways for over a decade. They’ve been about as focused on border security, rather than trying to improve the abysmal legal immigration process. Even kept funding ICE despite criticizing the GOP for doing so in Trump’s first term.

The one competent thing Trump did was testing to see what he could get away with all throughout his first term. Slowly broke more egregious rules. Even ignored SCOTUS rulings sometimes. Biden never tried anything like that, even when SCOTUS was outright lying.

Could be worse. At least you’re not one of the tea-sippers on the other side of the Atlantic.

I read a book back in high school which was about how extreme punishments were not a good way to reduce crime. For example, during public hangings for pickpocketing, there would sometimes be pickpocketers at those events as people were distracted.

If someone is going to use GPT for an idea, the second least they could do is treat it as an outline and use their imagination to make something better. Isn’t that what DnD is all about anyway: imagination and creativity from a given list of rules?

Just because someone is anti-Trump doesn’t mean they will abolish his policies. The DNC heavily criticized ICE’s human rights violations in Trump’s first term, but after Biden was elected, he kept giving them more funding and less negative attention.

Newsom pushed for anti-trans legislation, and actively avoided passing bills that would have improved access to gender affirming care. www.erininthemorning.com/p/why-transg...

He also recorded himself destroying a homeless encampment, and disapproves of a wealth tax on billionaires.

The position of POTUS has influence more than anything, and Biden largely used it to give more billions to the IDF.
December 7, 2025 at 4:48 AM
That doesn’t mean Biden couldn’t have tried encouraging Congress to, say, expand legal immigration rather than allow ICE to keep running the same with little real protest.
December 7, 2025 at 4:47 AM
A bunch of Dems “compromised” by voting with Republicans on the Laken Riley Act, which gave ICE the authority to roam across the country unchecked. It always seems to be that compromise happens by human right policies constantly being pushed back.

I thought that BMI is mostly ineffective when looking at athletes or people of a similar/opposite structure. Is it a bad judge for average people as well?
December 6, 2025 at 11:58 PM
Also, Newsom opposes a wealth tax on billionaires, and Republicans are especially eager to have billionaires avoid paying taxes as much as possible.
December 6, 2025 at 10:12 PM
Yes. I reckon that I should have made it more clear. Presumably I was too tired when writing that comment to clarify.
December 6, 2025 at 10:10 PM
The main focus of Biden’s campaign was that he claimed to be bipartisan and “reach across the aisle” to Republicans. That mostly involved him letting Trump roam free for four years, and giving even more money to ICE despite criticizing it when Trump was in office. You really want that again?
December 6, 2025 at 10:09 PM
For starters: Vetoing bills that would have provided easier access to gender affirming care for trans people, and the time when he filmed himself personally destroying a homeless encampment.

On what metric? Trump comebacks don’t a good president make. Especially when Newsom shares quite a few policy ideas as Republicans do.

Wow. When even XANA is disgusted by the cruel depths someone will go to, you know they must be bad.
December 6, 2025 at 1:27 PM
I’ve seen a whole lot of people who are upset about Trump’s recent boating strikes and sending billions to Argentina, defend the IDF as “defending themselves” back when Biden was president and funding them.
