I commend the podcast TrueAnon - they have a couple of episodes reporting on it, and are very experienced in going deep on confusing groups and movements. I would feel amiss not saying they're uh sardonic and committedly playful.

I have literally seen a trailer and thought "oh yeah I still oughtta see that" - didn't realise it was a new new film

Lorikeet by way of slake moth, a sleep paralysis demon who takes tribute in with sunflower seeds and chirps, for him you lay newspapers down in the darkest corner of your chamber

I intuit that if someone _knows_ they're graciously accommodating you (because of a culture, a system) then they'll probably be fine with yielding their opportunity to be generous to you?

And minutes before seeing your tweet, I was relating your recommendations about respirators for various occasions while my partner was selecting one for her soldering

This is so good!

I deeply resonated with this film (literally cried, and laughed without drying my cheeks), but as my practice in Buddhism and readings in comparative religion and philosophy substantially came later I didn't apply them to it. I think I'll rewatch soon and have an even richer time.

If producers might themselves call a project "content" or "product", it's slop: all clickbait, most ads, tv.

"AI slop" is slop made with image generation, the "limitless possibilities" produces genre norms that are often uncanny and tacky, and perceived as cheap regardless of any cost or thought

A dumb automation might be leary the k-word you've pointed at a bill, especially adjacent to some prominent people's names

I'd suggest to gradually taper off sugars (but have none of the super refined stuff) to be gentler to yourself, and embrace dietary fat. What artificial sweeteners do to your willpower is for you to assess, but Pepsi Max is my poison of choice and I think a lesser evil

And if you're ever finding yourself several months into keto and preparing for a nice festive season of carbs, remember that you de-adapt to carbs so must reintroduce them gently over a couple of days, lest you experience an inflammatory response to eating an entire baked camote

with sufficient dietary fat and protein you'll totally eliminate the feeling of hunger, and sugar craving will have to swim against that current. Eg. salmon wings or pork belly will make it hard to imagine being hungry, whatever you're withdrawing from!

fwiw AM is a warren of cart-congested cobblestone streets more like a medieval Rome or Paris or London than those same cities today with motorist culture and infrastructure

it made me notice that the American left is so accustomed to police violence that it has given up on *succeeding to be safe* and has capitulated to violent/peaceful dichotomy in its own way --- if there is no violence, it's useless lib shit
