I have a question for fellow transit nerds: while the battle is still going for the Texas Central HSR project, is it counterproductive to push reps to improve existing passenger rail tracks to allow for higher speeds? Current TX rails are limited to 79mph (mostly slower), but the trains could go 110

I've been reading through Oppenheimer's bio, and the direct quotes from McCarthy era republicans are eerily similar to today's republicans. The only difference now is that the movement seems to be immune from being undone by the Supreme Court. I guess time will tell
There’s a bunch of videos of Trump saying all of the unconstitutional, bizarro America stuff he’s going to do on day one but I can only find isolated clips of it. Where are these coming from?
