I was going to quit anyway, but it's a hilarious move on their part. They're keeping the branch manager's daughter, who doesn't know how to do half of the shit I do. Best of luck to them all!

Having experienced CA cold and Midwest cold, I think it's that CA cold is wetter, there's no good way to block it out. Midwest cold is sharp and bitter, but if the wind isn't blowing it's... tolerable?

Thankfully, party planning was immediately taken over by a third person. The person the party is for apparently hated all of my plans, which, again, is why I wish I hadn't opened my fat mouth in the first place.
