Lover of history and people's stories. Just a mom that believes in the good of this country.
Wondering if America Democrats should take note.

Thanks to @theweek.com for placing this in your junior edition.

Everything feels heavy but I walked into my library yesterday and it was bustling. Families finding books together. Librarians enrolling kids in reading programs. My child being tutored. Libraries are beacons of light and the feds and my state are defunding them. Call your Ohio Senators. Today.

The war on women and anyone who is not a white male looks like this. These two stories are back to back in my feed.

My MIL recently gave me one of her mother's books. I had never heard of it. I quickly realized it's message was prescient for this moment in time. As @profgalloway.com is screaming from the rooftops about our boy crisis, perhaps novels will help light our way.

They want our federal ATF agents to forget that guns are the number one killer of our children. More money for the gun industry. More money padding Republicans pockets.

@tanglenews.bsky.social included this cartoon in their sunday roundup of what the left and right are doodling. I want to know....

Why is this image "wrong?" How can Democrats change this perspective (or can't they?)
Why do you think some people feel this way?

The Great Gatsby - a timeless book about class and privilege and those involved had no idea. Such a great piece by the BBC.

I'm 2018, the Met had an amazing exhibit showcasing all of Thomas Cole's The Course of Empire paintings. It was awe inspiring to see all the paintings together.

The description about the third painting is especially relevant today. So very relevant.

I keep thinking of my time at the 9/11 museum. It makes me sick to my stomach. We never learn.

The last several days I just keep returning to my photo from the 9/11 museum. We never learn our lessons.

While writing my thesis, I purchased this book about late 19th century Hamilton County. I opened the book and I started laughing. Out loud.

I immediately thought, I am never donating this book bc I need to remember how "they use to document history."

In 2025, we are back to white men history.

Thank you, Canadian government, for educating Ohioans when our own GOP administration lies.

Billboards. They work.
