It's unfortunate that trumpers believe whatever they're told to believe. Trump dropped more bombs on civilians in 4 years than Obama did an 8. He was no peacemaker.

It doesn't sound like you would be willing to lay down your life to protect marginalized and oppressed people. If you don't even want to be uncomfortable with their language, how are you going to stand in front of bullets and batons?

It doesn't sound like you've done a lot of study into social justice issues my friend. You are an oppressor. It doesn't matter if you try really hard not to oppress, by being a man you are in the oppressor class. And this very conversation you are amplifying that oppression. 🤷🏽

I hear you friend, it's just not allyship. Allies do not tell oppressed people how to communicate. It's as simple as that. You're ignoring generations of oppression by telling them they should be careful of their oppressors' feelings.

I'm sorry friend, this is just not allyship. People who are allies are supporting marginalized communities. Men are not marginalized. In any case, we clearly are approaching this from different mindsets. I wish you well.

The fact that it stings is natural. We are all human. What counts is how we deal with that sting! Deal with it by doing your inner work, whatever that means, journaling, therapy, talking to friends, dancing... But don't deal with it insisting the oppressed change how they communicate their struggles

A true ally does not insist that the people they are supporting make them comfortable. A true ally does their own inner work and stands by the oppressed. If you need them to make you comfortable, you might not be an ally. Time to deepen your practice!

Humanism is a good philosophy. In this case however, this is specifically an attack on women by men. Generalizing it doesn't help the people being harmed by it.
