Ya I went to a private school and the difference was huge. I'm also in the North. It wasn't until recently that I realized how bad the education in many of the southern states is. There's no teachers, parents lack education leading to dumber kids, less money. It's an awful cycle.

We got really dumb, the south cut education every year since like the 80s or so. Now no one knows any history accept whatever nonsense TikTok or other short form content tells them. People don't know about WW2 or even our Civil War. So it's pretty grim.
