It feels like this Vine Maple, Acer circinatum, is making an early start on Fall 🍁. It has been quite dry the last 2 months and we were in heat mode last week. Western Washington State.

It feels like this Vine Maple, Acer circinatum, is making an early start on Fall 🍁. It has been quite dry the last 2 months and we were in heat mode last week. Western Washington State.
After 7 months off due to physical health issues and mental anxiety, I pulled out my bow. Even though its only 60 arrows on my 26# limbs, I felt good. I need to remember that feeling of a well done shot. Repeat tomorrow and the next day...Off to check Naproxen supply, my shoulder has questions

this happy chappy gave me a run for my money. It was busy fishing and had just come up when a Red winged Blackbird flew in. I caught it just ducking down. They always look like they are smiling

Smith Island Marysville Wa, USA glaring sun was a challenge. Was surprised to see and hear a Yellow-headed Blackbird male (no pic). First time on this side of the mountains. Great Blue Heron, Lesser Yellowlegs, Marsh Wren, and Tree Swallow. Pleased with wren photo. #Birds
