Would be great if those doing snow removal from sidewalks would realize pedestrians need to get off the sidewalk at some point to cross the street or get on a bus- we can’t levitate over the 24” mounds of snow unfortunately.

My car is moved, chuck roast secured for braising, snow brush and shovel moved inside, and I have a list of Oscar movies to watch and books to read. Let’s go.

Started tracking movies I see each year in 2024 because I always had a feeling outside of awards season I wasn’t watching enough new to me movies- 2nd year keeping track, armed with local independent cinema memberships, I was able to see many in theaters. Selection of the top ones. Here’s to 2026!

One benefit of a hotel without streaming is the joy of finding a random movie on cable. Mrs Doubtfire is still a delight. “It was a run by fruiting”

Found 2 spiders in my apartment, since it’s Halloween week and they pass as decorations I gave Charlotte and her family a pass but come November 1st if they haven’t moved on they’ll be served an eviction notice.

Went to see Bugonia tonight. Sitting on the aisle and then other side of the aisle is 2 guys. All of a sudden one of them jumps and I think I see something pass as the aisle light flickered. End of the movie the guy goes the scariest part was the mouse 😂 Is this the magic Nicole speaks of? #amc

Hate when I don’t time my movie arrival to coincide with Nicole. My penalty is a trailer for a movie from the “producer of the academy award winner Oppenheimer” really grasping at prestige there

I’ve already seen it twice but seems I’ll need to make a point to see it in VistaVision now that I know it will be playing when I’m back from my trip to the UK. Thankful for @thecoolidge.bsky.social and for living in this film lovers city.

Finally took myself to the movies today to see this. Excellent. Only regret is not seeing it opening weekend with a huge audience.

If you think what happened to Rumeysa Ozturk can't happen to you because you're a citizen and she's not, you are sorely mistaken. Ozturk was snatched off the street not for being a national security threat but for having a wrong opinion. If we don't put a stop to this, it's coming for all of us.
