Somewhat apropos, I'm always shocked when people don't know that when America gained power over the Philippines from the Spanish in 1898, the subsequent battles killed between 200,000-250,000 civilians. It's largely a hidden atrocity.

President Xi is reportedly 5'9", which is probably 2 or 3" taller than he reports. Look at Trump beside him. He's maybe an inch or two taller at most. Trump says he's 6'3". These shorties are both lying about their height, and one of them – that I know of – lies about his weight too.
