Eight years ago a meeting was held in the DfE attended by the key national leaders inc Schools Commission @ofsted and the DfE. Applying the Pareto Principle decided a quality standard for school improvement advisers would have a major impact on school improvement.

I caught the lad with the head of a cow on his phone. He was googling how to say ‘happy Christmas’ in German for an MFL Christmas card competition. I confiscated the phone but with a smile. Great to see so many kids taking part in the warmer bits of school life.
