Makes and tears apart software. Currently health tech, previously fintech and whatnot. Fixes premature pessimization. Does a pretty decent gravy.
Go down the four-hour route, spend three days actually doing it, but enjoying the rabbit hole immensely more than doing the mind-numblingly boring half-hour task.

This was an expensive BlueSky post. Thanks, Ian and Natalie! 😉

Oh, I love the graphics - tempted to give it a go, even if roguelikes isn't normally my thing 🤩

Jeg kan ret godt lide FORHELVEDE i ét ord - der er noget oldschool børneradio punk/metal over det :D

I installed the Git plugin for Obsidian, which works pretty nicely with the exposed SSH-to-Forgejo.

I've excluded .obsidian/workspace.json since that often caused merge conflicts between machines, but apart from that - it's great having version controlled history as well as sync :)

For my purposes, exposing some static HTTP sites through Cloudflare tunnels to a containerised Caddy "FROM scratch" image is OK.

And SSH to a containerised forgejo - that only allows Git, no normal shells - and Web UI only available locally / through tailscale.

As others have mentioned, definitely wireguard (or tailscale if you're behind cgnat, or want the "pretty packaged option") to expose as little as possible.

If you need to expose something on the internet, isolate it as much as conveniently possible on the host system.

Well, det kommer nok an på hvem du spørger 😂

...men det er legit en løsning på mine time management issues. I've got 99 issues and time *is* one!

It's one of the languages that I really like - focusing on lifetimes instead of memory allocations (or "YOLO, GC!") seems like a good choice... Even if the borrow checker wants to fight a lot sometimes 😂

And Cargo is bloody nice, compared to the mess in C++ land...

Gen '81 here. My first PC had... Was it 8 megabytes of RAM? A lovely 486dx4, 100 MHz. My current workstation has 8192 times that.

Even my phone is a supercomputer compared to that glorious beige box of wonders.

Perhaps they should have designed it with wheels instead of a hotdog sausage, just sayin'!

Have you been browsing high-end GPUs, Kate? Are they picking up on incoming cooling needs?

It's amazing what that game (and ICO!) managed to do on PS2 hardware... And the art and emotional experiences, oh my.

That's gonna end well 😂
