Keeping in mind that I teach computer science undergrads and grads, I share this in solidarity with ever every critical adopter and technology evaluator as well as every regular person who is counting on us educators to nerd this stuff... to be hard sells on new tech abilities...

How many classes or trainings or article summaries are you okay with your surgeon or medical doctor having used Generative AI tools to achieve their expertise or to maintain it? To a person, the answer is always some function of zero.

And whenever it seems like someone I like or care about (aka students) start to suggest that the level of bullshit detection that I have helped cultivate in them might be cranked too high, I ask one simple question.
