#Censorship is about control which is what #Trump wants but his bent is even more perverse than what is typically implied by censorship. There is an absolute quality about this #dictator that is frightening. He seems to want to possess everything personally as in to hell with everyone else.

All along #Trump has moved toward breaking #America. To glorify himself? To enrich himself? It’s all extremely perverse. More than just a #dictator, is he also a #sociopath?

Can #megalomania and #narcissism become so extreme that they turn into outright insanity? At what point are other people more victimized than the subject of insanity? Have we crossed that line, the big one, the point of no return? #Trump is plenty bonkers but is he actually insane?

Neither #love nor minds should be narrow; constrained, these produce the kind of reprehensible bigotry broadcast by Charlie #Kirk. This is not to celebrate his death because all political #violence is wrong but likewise wrong is the condemnation of human beings for exercising their #humanity.

I have no job to lose and no celebration of death to proffer. But I would sacrifice a great deal of self-respect if I failed to condemn both political #violence, regardless of its origin, and the disrespect for human beings repeatedly and shamelessly espoused by Charlie #Kirk.

For a while, #thought leaders were heard. Now, #influencers get attention which seems to be their purpose. Personally, I would rather read and think, ending up the better for it if not richer. I believe better survives this life. Richer is for the soil.

It honestly pains me to say this because lots of people could get hurt by it (but they will be hurt even more when it plays out): countries should stand up NOW to the #tariff bully rather than wait for the disaster to unfold next year more horribly.

It is simply not in the interest of the US or any of its citizens for the government to be a domestic or international bully. No good will come of it for anyone.

The US has always been a divided country. #Immigration is one of the consistently positive elements and we’re now tearing ourselves apart over that truly helpful aspect. We need to come outside of ourselves enough to realize the value of others and the contribution they make to our own lives.

This snark passed through my mind: If #Obama committed #treason, execute him; if he did NOT commit treason, execute his accusers. But I’m not saying this because it only widens the chasm dividing Americans who are having an increasingly difficult time agreeing on readily identifiable facts.
