I was 7 or 8 when I first played Pokemon Blue, and Lavender Town REALLY unnerved me. I don't think I had ever seen/read such direct references to murder in kids' games by that point. Just the word "killed" right there was so striking to me.

Wife and I have been doing Halloween costumes since the year we started dating, 2011 if I recall. Last year because of work was the first time I did not get to dress up, quite the bummer.

I used to go all out for Halloween, but now our kids are old enough to have their own interests and costume ideas, so I hope to be able to join in.
