Shout out to the behind the scenes teams at @mta.maryland.gov - last night I noticed that shelter glass was broken. I sent a note to our Facilities team & caught them in action this morning fixing it. Our teams are constantly working to improve all aspects of the rider experience!

I had the opportunity to attend and speak at the @railcoalition.bsky.social Summit yesterday. The @mta.maryland.gov team invited several @morganstateu.bsky.social and UM students to attend and it was great to chat with them about the future of MARC train!

Thanks to @cmtalliance.bsky.social for inviting us to chat all things transit & @mta.maryland.gov at their Transportation 101 class last night! We discussed the importance of our BMORE Bus plan & the improvements funded in our capital budget plus answered lots of questions from future advocates!

We're seeing stops in Transit and in our internal tracking systems. Wondering if it might be a pantograph bug but we're investigating.

Early morning division visits mean early morning @mta.maryland.gov bus and train rides! I'm heading up to our Northwest Division this morning and I'm grateful to the MTA team that is up before the sun to keep the region moving.

I got a ride to Charles Co. where we discussed progress on the @mta.maryland.gov SMRT project. On the way back I was dropped off at Light Rail & transferred to bus to get home. It was great to chat with our LR operator & see trains running frequently! Plus a beautiful sunset downtown!

I saw one of the #RulesoftheRide advertisements that the @mta.maryland.gov Youth Transit Council helped to develop on my bus ride home this afternoon. Happy to report a quiet, respectful ride!

I stopped by City demolition site on Howard St to check on progress w/ @mta.maryland.gov team. We are supporting the effort by removing catenary & protecting tracks w/steel plates. We have shuttle buses providing service until work is done & will restore service as soon as it is safe.

Love taking my kiddos to school via @mta.maryland.gov bus! MTA added 17 additional supplemental school trippers this year which makes it easier for us and other students to get to school!

Congratulations to Hitachi on the grand opening of their manufacturing facility in Hagerstown! The new @mta.maryland.gov Metro rail cars are being manufactured here & the new facility has added 500 jobs to the region - investing in transit means investing in jobs!

Morning @mta.maryland.gov Metro visits! My regular commute is by bus but I visit our Metro & Light Rail stations most mornings as well. I got to talk to several of our fantastic Metro Station Attendants and operators this morning and service was running great!

It was great to join the @mta.maryland.gov @purplelinemd.bsky.social team in Silver Spring this evening for National Night Out. And it's always great to check on the project progress - we've got more than 60% of the rail in and 12 of the light rail vehicles on site!

This morning our leadership team visited employees at the @mta.maryland.gov Eastern Bus Division & Light Rail. We celebrated 25 years of service for LR operator Antwan, discussed bus maintenance progress, & the upcoming fall service change. Our MTA team works hard everyday to move the region!

MTA's Customer Experience team is always looking for ways to improve the experience for our riders. This morning the @mta.maryland.gov Real Time Manager showed me some of the route ladder software they are testing before we roll it out. Can't wait to see these on our busses!

This morning, I met with a few members of @mta.maryland.gov Youth Transit Council who shared their efforts over the past 9 months to help us develop a new Rider Code of Conduct. I was impressed by their thoughtful recommendations. I can't wait to share their work this fall!
