Bureaucratic agencies don’t applaud legislation. Propaganda funded by our tax dollars. Cue endless scream.

Oh hello public realm!

I felt so relaxed as I walked here and realized what a difference the wide sidewalk and street trees make, despite the traffic. Also loved seeing the simple shaded plaza, where someone was sitting even on a day as hot as today.

Why would they choose to block off a pedestrian connection in this way? I have wondered about this for years

Agreed! I don’t care how many trees people have in their backyards. Publix realm is what matters.

I’d love to see investment in more buried power lines so our street trees can really grow

Should we be concerned about this part of the story from a privacy perspective? Is DHS/TSA doing this now without warrants?

And again, calls for bigger change get city responses that essentially say, this isn’t part of our purview.

The resulting maps are dismal. All this energy and time and money went into a process that was ultimately empty. Only the areas in black are considered for land use change. See link for more details. storymaps.arcgis.com/stories/4c65...

Atlanta! Encourage the school board to opt out of the homestead property tax exemption boardcomments@atlantapublicschools.us

The exemption has the potential to unfairly shift the tax burden to renters and limit the district’s ability to respond to future needs

Minor in the scheme of things, but I'm mourning what our rail system was going to become. ATL to the beach in an hour. Infrastructure matters. We were about to have such nice things.
