Pollievre’s politics are pretty much opposite of mine in every way, but I was nodding in agreement during last campaign when he talked about how burdensome it was to apply for the disability tax credit, and how he would simplify that. We need more of that acknowledgement and discussion on the left.

Yes, some of this should be in simplifying interaction w/govt programs, and is among the reasons why I’m a fan of universal rather than ‘needs based’ programs. But govt could also regulate private corps and require more simplified process for customer interaction. 2/
